Our Hobbies

Races

When the winter season draws to an end, we've sometimes tested our best dogs in local mid-distance races. We're not serious racers, but it's a good place to practice some of the dogs' other skills. We took part in the Gold Rush Run for 5 years from 2015-2019 and again in 2021, and in the Bergebylopet N70 once in 2017.

2015: GRR 90 km (2 x 45), 8th & 9th place (2 teams)

2016: GRR 80 km (2 x 40), 16th place

2017: BBL N70 160 km, 6th & 7th place, & GRR 140 km (2 x 70), 9th & 10th place

2018: GRR 140 km (2 x 70), 14th place, 90 km (2 x 45), 22nd place

2019: 90 km (2 x 45) GRR, 22nd place

2020: all races cancelled due to covid-19

2021: 90 km (2 x 45) GRR,

For the following two years we were very busy with sledding tours then sadly, these GRR races were no longer organised, so we'll have to look for another venue for future races.

The next possible calendar opening for us would be in spring 2025. Now we just need to work on getting the dogs and people trained up again... :)
